ADULT INSTRUCTION PROGRAMS
Adults of all ages are welcome at Community Music School. Whether you are
learning an instrument for the first time, becoming reacquainted with an
instrument, or a skilled musician in need of guidance, CMS is here to help.
Private Instruction
No matter your age, whether you are an absolute beginner or someone with considerable music experience, you are welcome to study at CMS. We can generally find time in our teacher;s schedules that fits the demands of the busy adult-life style. Adult students taking weekly instrumental or vocal lessons can enjoy the same curriculm benefits as our younger students. For those who can not manage regular weekly lessons, a flexible schedule can be arranged if it is agreeable to the private lesson instructor. However, the benefits of the Music Enrichment Program do not apply to those not enrolled in weekly instruction.

The "Trappe Troope" New Horizons Band ®
If you are looking for a fun way to learn a musical instrument without the rigors of individual instruction, you might want to consider joining "The Trappe Troupe" New Horizons Band.
This is an entry level band for adults who have never before
played a musical instrument, or for those who haven't played in years. Each
week, participants get a group instrumental lesson and then come together
for a band rehearsal. Come join the fun with this weekly ensemble and discover you hidden (or dormant) musical talents!

Chamber ensembles can be arranged for adults of similar playing skills. If you
are interested in forming an ensemble, or if you are part of an ensemble and
are in need of a faculty coach, contact the
registrar at CMS.
