Instrumental students between the ages of 12 and 20 are invited to audition for this advanced orchestra ensemble. The GPHO festival, held annually in March, performs music from the full orchestral repertoire. Orchestra members receive music in advance and are expected to have learned their music before the festival begins. The festival is held over one weekend and culminates in a final Sunday performance. Students also have the opportunity to audition for the concerto competition that is part of the GPHO Festival. The winner will perform a movement of a concerto with the orchestra and receives a scholarship to the CMS summer chamber music camp – Camp Crescendo. Cost for the orchestra is $50 and includes a GPHO T-shirt.
