JoAnn’s studio is in an old mill with big bright windows, Spring City Mill Studios, located in Spring City, PA, not far from Philadelphia. She graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from Drexel University in 1995. After working in the corporate world, she eventually branched out on her own to maintain a design consultation business for 10+ years. JoAnn’s creativity has been seen in both the pharmaceutical and financial industries, as well as the non-profit arena, including a local food bank and a pet rescue. The flexible schedule of a freelancer opened a window of time for her to paint and soon enough she transitioned to painting full-time.

Nicole McGonigal, artist

Nicole McGonigal, 32, resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, daughter, and dog. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State and Master’s Degree from Holy Family in Education. She is, mostly, a self- taught artist who started at a very young age perfecting her skills. Nicole started her journey with drawing pencils. She gradually moved to charcoal and acrylic paints. The artist enjoys reading, going on adventures, and spending time with her family. Nicole teaches drawing and painting classes virtually to students around the world.

Nicole’s main form of creating art is with acrylic paints and trash. She likes to use trash to create a textured base on her paintings. Once the trash is set she goes in with acrylics and various other art mediums to bring the piece to life. If she does not have trash as the base, she likes to have an acrylic pour to add unpredictable movement to the backgrounds of her paintings.
